The Galesville Heritage Society maintains a museum to protect and maintain the rich cultural heritage of Galesville, MD and the surrounding South County area. Stop by to learn more about local and South County history. Learn about the people who built the framework for the Galesville village as we know it today, and who would lay the foundation for the surrounding area. Search through videos, photos, artifacts, and the enlightening “Stories of Stores” video. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveler, the Galesville Heritage Museum is here to help you make the most of your visit. Carrie Weedon (1847-1928), a beloved schoolteacher in Galesville lived in this home. It is in her house that the museum’s collection resides today, and is now known as the Galesville Heritage Museum.
